The Stillery's Limited Edition: Chateau de Vie 2019
Chateau de Vie 2019 is an eau de vie distilled from Macabeo grape pomace and aged three years in barrel. A warming glass for cold evenings, and a good bottle to bring when you are invited for dinner.
At city winery Chateau Amsterdam the Macabeo grapes went into wine; the skins, seeds and stems left after pressing came to us. We fermented and distilled them, and three years in wood took care of the rest. What the winemaker leaves behind, we turn into something new. Compare it with the other vintages in Limited Editions.
Tasting notes
Deep amber in the glass. Vanilla and oak meet the grape in a complex, well-rounded spirit that warms you from the inside out.
Perfect serve
Neat: 30 ml at room temperature in a tulip glass. Or as a caffè corretto: 20 ml Chateau de Vie in a freshly pulled espresso (30 ml).
