The Stillery's Limited Edition: Chateau de Vie 2021

Chateau de Vie 2021 is the youngest of our four vintages: an eau de vie distilled from grape pomace, including Chardonnay, and aged one year in barrel. An easy way into the series, neat or in your espresso.

After the 2021 harvest was pressed at city winery Chateau Amsterdam, the skins, seeds and stems came to us. We fermented and distilled them and gave the spirit one year in wood, which gave it its golden colour. What the winemaker leaves behind, we turn into something new. The older vintages are in Limited Editions.

Tasting notes

Golden. Ripe stone fruit on the nose with a hint of oak. Smooth and silky on the palate, with fig, apricot and vanilla. A long finish with just a touch of warmth.

Perfect serve

Neat: 30 ml at room temperature in a tulip glass. Or as a caffè corretto: 20 ml Chateau de Vie in a freshly pulled espresso (30 ml).
