THE SISTER WHO DOESN'T DRINK
Virgin is the alcohol-free sister of our Most Floral Gin. Nothing gets de-alcoholised here. When we distil a gin, the alcohol vapour carries the flavour. For obvious reasons that's not an option here, so we distil Virgin on water and steam, and not a drop of alcohol ever goes in. Truly 0.0%: made without any alcohol.
In 2023 we reworked the recipe, because we can't leave a still alone. Hosting? Put a bottle of each on the table and everyone gets the same glass.
TWO JURIES, TWO OPINIONS
Tasting notes: fresh and floral, and at its best in a long drink with tonic. The IWSC judges found it rich and honeyed, with a mead-like character. The judges at the World Drinks Awards No & Low picked up vegetal, slightly grassy notes. We'll let you be the tiebreaker.
